Hello Fellow Sisters in Christ!
I am so grateful that you have decided to join me on a journey this summer as we study the book of James. I know that God has great things in store for us! My goal is to allow God to use this forum to equip you in how to study the Bible, inspire you to read it, and encourage you to meditate on it so His Word will become alive in your heart/life.
This is a major, bit uncomfortable, step for me to blog in this way. Please forgive my typos, incorrect grammar, and run on sentences...I am sure many of you can relate to my "mommy brain." Although this is out of my comfort zone, anything worth doing seems to be just that. Taking action comes from an earnest heart to seek the Lord. That is incredibly worthwhile.
Here is what our summer will look like:
Week 1 (week of June 1st): James 1: 1-18: "Trials and Temptations"
Week 2: James 1: 19-27: "Listening and Doing"
Week 3: James 2: 1-13: "Favoritism Forbidden"
Week 4: James 2: 14-26: "Faith and Deeds"
Week 5: James 3: 1-12: "Taming the Tongue"
Week 6: James 3: 13-18: "Two Kinds of Wisdom"
Week 7: James 4: 1-12: "Submit Yourselves to God"
Week 8: James 4: 13-17: "Boasting About Tomorrow"
Week 9: James 5: 1-6 "Warning to Rich Oppressors"
Week 10: James 5: 7-12: "Patience in Suffering"
Week 11 (week of August 13th): James 5: 13-20: "The Prayer of Faith"
Looking forward to kicking off our study together the first week in June!
